"Prejudice is a disease we can never get rid of." Discuss
I do not agree to the statement.
A disease is a condition that is caused by external factors that result in abnormal bodily functions. Prejudice would never cause abnormal bodily functions. Diseases are also health related, but being prejudiced would not cause a person to fall sick or land in hospital for non-injury causes. Thus, prejudice is not a disease.
Whether prejudice can be get rid of shall be the next part of this essay. Prejudice can be gotten rid of to a certain extent. The prejudice against females have almost been totally eradicated. In the past where men went to work while women stayed at home doing house work, there was prejudice against females. Some societies even disallowed women to study, for example ancient chinese society. But such prejudice is still here with us. In Japanese societies, the man still walk in front of the women. Although this is very minor, it is still a sign of prejudice. If there is someone who would stand up for the japanese women, or if the younger generation give little thought to such a practice, japanese men and women would eventually walk side by side. Effectively ridding prejudice from society could be done, as shown.
As such, i conclude that prejudice is not a disease that we can never get rid off.

Ok... here goes....
Gp assignment 1
“YouTube has no ethics, it's been created for the sole purpose of entertainment and money.” Do you agree?
I do not agree to the statement. Youtube was created for entertainment, yes, but not so much for money earning. Youtube doesnt collect money for you to host your videos on it, neither does it require you to pay a subcription fee to access the videos. It's free, just like wikipedia. Actually, the only way youtube sustains itself is through all the advertisments that Google places on it. Google pays youtube so that its advertisements would be displayed on youtube's site, thats all. Other than that, youtube is very much charity work. Also, youtube was recently bought over by Google, so it makes sense that currently the advertisments are displayed for free. It also makes sense that google is supplying the money to run youtube's servers. Thus, youtube was not created for money.
Youtube was created for entertainment, i very much agree to that. There is not much you could do with videos except entertainment. One can find humourous home-made videos on youtube. Korean and taiwanese serial dramas could also be viewed. Even anime could be found on youtube. All these were put up to entertain the masses. Professional music videos, although most probably illegal, are being hosted on youtube. Users run these risks as they feel that it would give them a greater sense of achievement if everyone could enjoy these videos that they acquired. All in the name of Entertainment. Youtube has revolutionised entertainment. People need not go to the television to watch programs. A few clicks of the mouse would enable them to watch their videos anywhere, anytime (provided that they had wireless internet connection).
Youtube also has very educational values. There are many vidoes that teach people how to do things. There's a video category on "How to & DIY". These set of videos do exactly what i just mentioned, teach people how to do things. These are not for entertainment or for money, but for educating the public about certain subjects. There is even a video on cell structure (biology).
Therefore, i conclude that youtube was not created for the sole purpose of enteratainment and money, but also for other means.

Introduction about myself.
Ok. I am yi herng, for those who do not know my IGN yet.
Likes.
Divination, metaphysics, psychics, and the paranormal.
Methods of divination that i practice. Astrology(bazi,ziwei),Cartomancy(tarot),Geomancy(fengshui),I Ching Divination,Numerology. That's about it. I scrolled through http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divination#Common_methods_of_divination and just picked those that i do, so some might not be reflected here. (Oh, i forgot to mention that "diviner" comes from the greek word for "seer" did i? kinda cool eh? seer :) )
Metaphysics are much cooler, in a sense. It includes psychokinesis, which encompasses telekinesis and all the other -kinesis-es. Basically those stuff X-Men do, except wolverine's claws.
Some people get a bit edgy when "ghosts" are mentioned so i won't "talk" about the paranormal part.
[It's very difficult and time consuming to type in full spelling. i'm using the backspace at least 1000% more than usual. Argh]
Other likes.
Anime! Anime forever! The series that i have watched are numerous and counting them now needs some time, but thats troublesome and i do not think you really care so forget it. Anime is entertaining and it teaches you some ethics and values and general knowledge (watching anime = learning for gp). But it depends on the anime that you watch. Duh.
Games that i play and like. Narutimate Heroes 3 (waiting for 4), Splinter Cell (everything), Halo (everything), N3, WolfET TC:E, Kingdoms Under Fire: Heroes, GGXX: Slash, JKA, RO. Sorry but no DotA, at least not enough to qualify to say that i play it.
